Delivering by car lets you cover more ground than a bike and keep working in the rain. If you do not own a car, a weekly rental gets you on the road without buying one. Tell us which delivery platforms you work with when you enquire, and we set up the rental for that use.
Uber Eats car requirements in Sydney
Uber publishes the requirements for delivering by car in Sydney. Uber says you must be at least 18, the car must be a 1990 model or newer, registered and CTP-insured in NSW, and you must have vehicle insurance covering at least third-party property. Other platforms set their own rules, so check them on the platform's website.
Each car page shows the car's year. When you enquire we confirm the registration, CTP and insurance arrangements for delivery use in writing.
Delivery or rideshare?
Delivery work carries food, not passengers, so the platform rules for the car are usually simpler than for rideshare. If you plan to do both, tell us at the start so the rental is set up for rideshare use as well. Our rideshare page covers what Uber asks of cars that carry passengers.
Weekly or monthly
Start with a week if you are trying delivery work for the first time. If it becomes a steady income, ask about the monthly rate for the same car.

Do I need to be a registered rideshare driver?
No. Delivery work does not require rideshare approval. If you also plan to carry passengers, tell us so the rental is set up for that.
How much does it cost per week?
Each car page shows the weekly rate we have set for that car. Any bond or other costs are confirmed in writing before you commit.
What do I need to enquire?
